- Prepare detailed cost estimates and quotations for contract manufacturing projects based on technical drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with programming, production, and quality teams to ensure manufacturability and compliance with specifications.
- Prepare process documentation including work instructions, routes, and control plans.
- Analyze customer drawings, specifications, and technical documents to determine production requirements.
- Learn to be proficient in the cost processing software to calculate labor, materials, and overhead to develop accurate cost to the customer.
- Work with purchasing and production to gather current and past cost data.
- Maintain and update estimates, cots, and records of historical quotes.
- Minimum of 5 years of CNC and manual machining experience
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Excellent communication and project management abilities
- Proficiency Microsoft Office, CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) and ERP/MRP systems
- Experience in process engineering/estimating role within a manufacturing environment is a plus
- Familiarity in CNC programing is a plus
