This position is responsible for developing efficient manufacturing processes and creating accurate cost estimates for incoming projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in multiple manufacturing operations, with a sharp eye for detail and a knack for problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
Process Engineering/Estimating
  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for new and existing projects
  • Collaborate with programing, production, and quality teams to ensure manufacturability and compliance with specifications
  • Prepare process documentation including work instructions, routings, and control plans
  • Analyze customer drawings, specifications, and technical documents to determine production requirements
  • Be able to learn and be proficient in the cost processing software to calculate labor, materials, and overhead to develop accurate cost to the customer
  • Work with purchasing and production to gather current and past cost data
  • Prepare and present quotes and proposals to management and/or customers
  • Maintain and update estimates, cost, and records of historical quotes

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 15 years of CNC and manual machining experience
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
  • Excellent communication and project management abilities
  • Proficiency Microsoft Office, CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) and ERP/MRP systems
  • Experience in process engineering/estimating role within a manufacturing environment is a plus
  • Familiarity in CNC programing is a plus
